Introduction

We offer a specialised provision, resources and teaching within a mainstream setting at Aldersley High School. This fantastic provision further extends the curriculum offer we already provide at Tettenhall Wood Home School. This is done through aspirational teaching ensuring outstanding outcomes for each of our learners.

Horizon@Amethyst is a purpose-built provision in the heart of Aldersley High School. Horizon Hub offers provision for KS3 and 4 learners whilst Horizon 6th offers our post 16 provision. Safeguarding continues to be the golden thread of what we offer where every learner has the right to feel happy and to be safe.

The provision offers flexible pathways for learners that bring together a personalised programme of:

  • Inclusion in a broad and ambitious knowledge-rich curriculum balanced with personal development and enrichment opportunities, social engagement and extended schools activities
  • Progression through life skills and independence courses
  • Work related learning opportunities and experiences, and inclusion in specific vocational courses across the Amethyst Academy Trust

This will enable each learner to flexibly access their best combination of educational opportunities and pathways as they grow.
