Dear Parents/Carers,

As your child enters their final year of Key Stage 4, and with their important examinations growing ever closer, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our first ‘Year 11 Excellence Evening’ on Thursday 20th September from 4pm until 6.30pm.

During this evening, a number of College and Apprenticeship providers will be available to offer guidance, alongside our Head of the Amethyst Sixth Form, who will be discussing the Sixth Form application process and the courses available.

In addition to this, a number of our subject leaders will also be discussing your child’s forthcoming examinations; revision strategies and techniques; and how to best support your child during their revision and examination period.

Fifteen minute talks will run throughout the evening as per the timings listed below:

5.30pm – Sixth Form Information with LWO5.45pm – How to be successful in EBACC subjects
6pm – How to support your child in achieving their best possible grades with LED and LPR6.10pm – How to be successful in Open Subjects
6.15pm – How to be successful in English and Maths with KBI and LBS

Finally, on the evening, students will also be able to collect personalised revision packs with lots of revision materials from a range of subject areas including revision workbooks and links to specific websites and resources tailored to support them in their final months of study towards their examinations.
