January 2022 Student Return Arrangements

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the end of term, and with Covid Cases rising in the local area, it is important that we look forward to the arrangements required in school for the return of students in January. The Government has requested that upon students returning to school, they are tested once on site. The Lateral Flow Testing will help reduce the transmission of Covid19 after a period of social mixing during the Christmas Holiday. Following the Lateral Flow Testing on site students should continue to test twice weekly at home.

To accommodate this request, we shall stagger the start times and dates of students. Please find below arrangements for each year group:

Year 11 Students are required to wear full school uniform, and will resume their normal timetable immediately after testing.

If students do not have consent for testing, they will go to lesson at 8.45am.

Year 12 & 13

6th Form students from Moreton should attend Moreton for their Lateral Flow Testing

 

 

Please note the following information:

  • Students for Lateral Flow testing should enter through school reception
  • Students in years 7,8,9,10, 12 & 13 who are tested will be contacted if they have a positive result and asked to get a PCR test. If students are not contacted, they should assume that they are negative and should return to school, in uniform, at 8.45am on Wednesday 5th January.
  • As detailed above year 11 will return to normal lessons on the 4th January immediately after testing and they are required to wear full school uniform. If students do not have consent for testing, they will go to lesson at 8.45am.
  • Students who have tested positive from 6th October 2021 are not required to have a Lateral Flow Test as this is within 90 days of a positive result.
  • We can only allow those students whose parents have previously given consent to be tested.
