PSHE / RS

At Aldersley High School, our PSHE and Religious Studies curriculum ensures that every student develops the knowledge, character and confidence needed to thrive both in school and in later life.

Pupils engage with themes such as physical and mental health, respectful relationships, online safety, financial literacy, citizenship, digital resilience, and personal identity. Lessons promote informed decision making, personal responsibility and emotional wellbeing. 

RS broadens students’ understanding of diverse beliefs, moral questions and global issues, supporting respect, empathy and critical thinking. This strengthens pupils’ ability to contribute positively to society and understand the world beyond their immediate experience. 

Our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) policy, overseen by Mr Evans, provides clear, age-appropriate teaching on healthy relationships, consent, families, personal boundaries, emotional wellbeing and personal safety. We maintain strong communication with parents and carers and ensure that content is delivered sensitively and inclusively, supporting pupils in developing safe and healthy lifestyles. 

Across PSHE and RS, pupils are supported to build self-belief, resilience and strong character—key elements of their wider personal development and central to our values of Hard Work, Ambition and Success.
